CEFH has organized its work in four Research Topics which have allowed for the fulfillment of its interdisciplinary aims, while ensuring a continuous dynamic of cross feeding in-depth knowledge. In this sense, the option for the Research Topics and their thematic and epistemological definition is simultaneously a question of organizing the research unit and of defining the best ways to achieve the intended results and outcomes.
The Research Topics develop Projects, which fall within the scope of their respective areas.
The CEFH also includes a number of Autonomous Research Projects, with other financial support, within the scientific scope and aims of the Research Centre but beyond the specific projects of the Research Topics.
The Centre’s Research Topics are:

. Causal processes, complex systems and emergence

. Ethical and anthropological implications of the scientific and technological developments

. Symbolic Interactions: memory and change

Cognition, intersubjectivity and human development
